Kawasaki Miami Jet Ski or PWC, Enjoying Good Times on the Water

There is a lot to be said for sitting in the sand on one of Fort Lauderdale or Miamis beautiful beaches, and watching the waves roll in while soaking up as much sun as possible. But if you have ever gotten bored while working on your tan, you probably noticed that a lot of people were having tons of fun on a Kawasaki Jet Ski. Maybe you have just never gotten up the nerve to try a personal watercraft, or maybe you have just never had a chance to hop on the back of one of these vehicles, also known as personal watercraft or waverunners. No matter which is true, it is probably high time you joined all the other Fort Lauderdale or Miami residents who know how exhilarating it can be to feel the wind in your hair while skimming across the surface of the water.

The first thing you should know about the Kawasaki Jet Ski is that it was the first Jet Ski type watercraft to hit the market, all the way back to 1970. These early Jet Ski models were not nearly as stable or fast as the watercraft that are available on the market today. Riders were required to stand up straight while riding the vehicles, almost like riding a giant slalom ski with handlebars. Now, technology has advanced and Kawasaki Jet Ski models are designed with bases that are like the hull of a boat. This design allows them to cut through the water faster and with more agility.

When it comes to buying Kawasaki Jet Ski or Personal Watercraft for yourself and your family, it is important to remember that you must do your homework. You would never just walk onto a car lot and purchase the first car that catches your eye, and the same is true for buying a Jet Ski. Figure out whether your budget will allow you to purchase one of the newest models of personal watercraft, or whether you will have to stick with a reliable but used watercraft. Remember that you do not have to buy a sport model to get speed and power.

Also, it is important to think about who will most likely be using your Kawasaki PWC. If you like to take your spouse and children down to Miami Beach on the weekends, you will probably want something that is easy enough for your spouse to handle, but big enough to carry more than one passenger at a time. If you are simply looking for a way to get out one the waves without purchasing a full boat, you might want to opt for the more extreme models such as the Kawasaki Jet Ski Ultra 260LX or Jet Ski STX.

There are several Kawasaki Jet Ski models on the market which include the Jet Ski 1100 ZXI, 750, 650, 550, and 250; all models having different engine and performance details. For those riders that love to customize their watercraft, there are tons of options available to improve the speed and performance of them. It is best to talk to an expert and preferably deal with a Kawasaki dealer with a track record servicing and selling Jet Ski parts and racing components.

The best way to enjoy your time on the water is to visit RIVA Motorsports for all your watercraft needs. RIVA Motorsports is the worlds largest watercraft dealer and it is located in Pompano Beach, FL. RIVA Motorsports is located within minutes of Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach and Miami. There is also RIVA South in Key Largo and in the near future, RIVA Miami. So, come on by and see the best brands available on the market today, all under one roof.

Injured in a Water Skiing Accident, Who is at Fault?

Water skiing is an enjoyable activity that offers plenty of opportunity to feel free under the sun. Of course, water skiing is a sport conducted at high speed, behind a boat and inevitably involving a big splash in the water when the ride is over.

When something goes wrong during water skiing and injuries occur, who is responsible? A qualified personal injury attorney can help you find the right answers in your case.

Determining responsibility in these types of sports and recreation injury cases can be difficult. But it is very important to know where liability falls, when things go awry. Regardless of whether sustained injuries are from hitting the water too hard, colliding with an object, lack of swimming ability or other causes, calling an experienced law firm is the right decision.

— Water Skiing Safety Is Critical —

Lawsuits from water skiing injuries can be avoided through proper operation of equipment and safety measures. Water skiers should always wear a safety vest, know how to swim, and have good understanding of rules put in place for their own protection. When operating a boat that pulls skiers, it is important that a driver is trained in how to perform behind the wheel, knows where lifesaving equipment is located on the boat, and knows how to render lifesaving aid. Preparedness is key, but safe operation of the boat and properly pulling the skier are critical.

When accidents do occur, quick response is essential. When auto accidents happen, drivers are instructed to call EMTs and wait for their arrival for professional evaluation of injuries. But in an accident on or near the water, it may be necessary to proceed with emergency aid before the professionals arrive. Around water, accidents often involve open wounds, broken bones and possible drowning. So it is very important that the victim is stabilized, transported to land and readied for pickup by emergency teams.

One important thing to remember when providing first aid is that spinal injuries may be involved. Ensure their neck and back are supported and slowly return them to shore while avoiding choppy water, high speed, or extreme jarring from boat movement. Prevention of additional injuries is critical.

— Negligence in Water Skiing Accidents —

Determining who is responsible in water skiing accidents can be as difficult as it is for other types of injuries. There is risk in water skiing, even when everything is properly executed and safety precautions are taken. Because of this risk, many states consider water skiers responsible for their own risk. That means that others may not be held liable when an accident occurs, unless gross negligence is discovered or the accident was found to be due to intentional actions.

In other states, liability is determined in a manner similar to a car accident case. Considerations include:

  • Who caused the injury
  • Was the injury avoidable
  • What was the proportionate level of fault for the boat driver
  • How much was the skier to blame
  • Were third parties at fault in some manner
  • Were alcohol or drugs involved
  • Did the boat operator drive into a dangerous area
  • Was the skier being reckless or engaging in dangerous behavior
  • Was the accident avoidable with reasonable care

— Legal Considerations of a Water Skiing Accident —

When a water skiing accident occurs, all of the aforementioned factors are included in legal consideration. A negligence standard will most often be how the case is determined. The plaintiff is responsible for showing that a duty of care was owed by the defendant, that the duty of care was not met, and injuries to the plaintiff resulted from that failure to provide a duty of care.

When negligence is determined, the defendant will often try to show how the plaintiff was responsible for his or her own injuries. An argument based on assumption of risk may arise. This argument is that the activity holds inherent danger known to those who engage in water skiing. It also will be used to show how that means that the water skier knew about the risk and accepted responsibility for the potential injury when participating in the activity.

Those assumption of risk arguments will not be effective against gross negligence or intentional misconduct, of course. But if the plaintiff is shown to have acted inappropriately in a manner that caused their own injury, the defendant’s liability may be reduced.

Things can get fairly complex at this point, when plaintiff behavior and assumption of risk are called into question. This is why it is so important to work with an experienced lawyer who has handled water skiing and other accident claims successfully in the past. An experienced, licensed attorney from a reputable law firm can help you navigate the maze of complicated laws to determine potential liability and damages for your injuries.

Variations to your golf game

Getting bored of the same golf game you always play on a Sunday afternoon, I have detailed some different variations of the game, to spice and excite your golf game. Many of these games can be played in teams and pairs, so they are not as restrictive as a traditional game of golf.

Single stroke game This is one of the simplest variations of the game. In this game all the strokes have to be counted and the players can’t pick up their ball without having a penalty. The score is a tally having the handicaps deducted at the end. The lowest score wins.

Foursomes’ game This game is played in two pairs, with having only one ball in play. Each player takes their turn in having a shot after teeing off. The tee shots are taken alternately, so that one of the players from the pair tee off on all the even numbers and the other player tees off on all the odd numbers. The score is recorded by a tally, again with the handicaps deducted off the total. The handicaps of both players are added, and half that total is the team’s handicap.

Ambrose game Ambrose can be played in teams of 2, 3 or 4. A captain for each team is selected. The captain then decides the order of play. The players play a shot from their tee and go to where their ball landed. The captain then decides which ball is the best positioned, and then carries on play with that ball. The remaining players from the team retrieve their balls. The player whose ball was chosen has the first shot, then each of the other players drop their balls within 1 club length of the spot, and play their shot in order decided by the captain at the start of the game. Once on the green, the decision of which ball to play with, is decided and marked. Once the chosen ball has been played, the other players in the team must place their balls within a card length of the spot and has one putt each. Each ball position must be marked and procedure repeated until a ball is holed. The score is adding up with the lowest score winning. The handicaps from each team again have to be added up and halved, then deducted from the total.

Flag competition game A player depending on the total of their handicap and par for the course, is given a set number of shots to play. For example a player with a handicap of 14 would have 85 shots, if the par for the course is 71. You play every shot until your shots run out, whoever is furthest round the course wins. A flag is used as a marker to show the finishing point.

3 ACC WR’s Who Will Breakout

The ACC is more so known for defense and perhaps even the depth at running back, and quarterback. Not much is known about the receiving corps for many teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference. However, let’s take a look at a few players at wide out who should demand your utmost attention. You may not have heard of them before now, but you should remember them when all is said and done this season.

Duke is known as a basketball school, and for good reason, with the team taking home it’s fourth national title this season. However, the once abysmal football program has improved greatly over the last few seasons. Duke WR Donovan Varner is a spectacular player who you may not have heard of. Quietly, Varner lead the ACC last season with 65 catches, and finished up second with 1,047 yards. Not too shabby for a 5 foot 8, 175 pound wide receiver. Varner also found the back of the end zone 8 times last season, good for best on the team. Duke’s passing game is expected to be the focus of the offense, carrying the team this season, and as Varner goes, very likely is how the team is going to go in the upcoming campaign. 100 catches and 1400 yards is not out of the question.

Jarrett Boykin from Virginia Tech is another player who does not receive a lot of hype or attention. The fact is, Virginia Tech is based on their solid running game. However, Boykin was a standout for V-Tech last season, averaging an amazing 21 yards per catch. He didn’t top the 1000 yard marker due to the running game, but his stature at 6’2 and 200 plus pounds, combined with his ability to make the big play every time he touches the ball makes him a likely breakout candidate in the conference at the position this upcoming season.

Bert Reed Jr. from Florida State is going to benefit from the change at quarterback with Christian Ponder now slinging him the ball, and last year’s leading wide out Rod Owens being out of the picture. Reed is small in stature, at 5’10 and 167 pounds. However, Reed runs a 4.3 40 yard dash, and is likely to get behind the defense. However fast he is, does not mean he is a simple big play threat. Even with Owens on the team, Reed still pulled in 60 balls last season. He is not an all speed no talent type of player. Owens could easily become FSU’s best possession receiver, and biggest deep threat in the coming season. 100 catches could very easily be in his sights.

Roundhay Park is a favourite among locals and has been voted one of Leeds’ top attractions by TripAdvisor users. It boasts a vast territory with two lakes, and forest areas to roam around in. Attractions on the spot also include a golf course, castle ruins, tennis courts and a gorge.

York Gate Garden is a hidden treasure in the outskirts of Leeds. Originally created by the inventive Spencer family, the garden is now looked after by the charity, Perennial.

The Spencers bought the house and adjoining peace of land in the 1950s and had transformed the yard into one of the most beautiful small gardens in the world by the 1980s. It features creatively clipped evergreens, unusual plants and vistas.

Park Square originates in the Georgian era. It’s a popular lunch spot for the many people working in the surrounding Georgian residential-turned-office buildings. The inviting lawns and benches are made for picnics or relaxing moments while watching the world go by.

Golf Swing Tips For Newbies

There are many golf instructors claiming their golf swing tips to be the best. You can read their ads in papers, magazines and online classified sites. But whether they are really as good as they claimed to be is what you will only find out when you signed up for their courses and undergoing the training in the golf course.

So before you start investing in any course, here are some factors you need to take into consideration.

Knowing What Works And What Does Not

This is the most important factor to consider especially for newbies.

Although the best way to excel in golf is through daily and continuous training, you need to find what works and what does not. There are many systems out there and each golf instructor has his or her own teaching method. Just because his or her teaching method works for some beginners does not mean it will work for you.

Irregardless of what we learn be it golf or other things, we all have different learning speed and capability. So it is impossible to impose one technique and enforce everyone to do the same. While some may benefit, others may not.

The best instructor is one who knows what works and what does not work for you and implement a system based on your level of understanding. Although there are many instructors out there, such instructors are quite rare. But if you manage to find one, learn and apply everything you are taught instead of taking it for granted.

Differentiating A Good Advice From Bad

From time to time, we all received advice. Not just from instructors but from our fellow trainees and even loved ones around us.

The best advice is still from instructor. If the instructor has been experienced in golf, you can easily tell when he talks and the way he demonstrate how to execute a proper golf swing.

Initially it may not go down well with you or any beginner. Especially when the instructor points out your mistakes and shows you the correct way. We can either let our pride get in the way or we may take a longer time to adopt to the right way.

For instance if you are right-handed and your instructor thinks you will be better with your left hand, will you accept his or her advice despite knowing that it will take you some time to adjust or will you let your pride prevent you from doing so since you do not want to step out of your right-handed comfort zone?

If the advice is good and with the intention of grooming you to be better, it is best to follow.

Setting Tangible Goals

As with anything else, you need to set tangible goals if you want to succeed in your golf swings.

Goals such as setting your minimum striking distance, shot accurancy rate and speed are essential. If you do not understand what this means, you can clarify these with your instructor who will be happy to elaborate more.

Apart from your objectives, you need to be familiar with your goal equipment. So even before buying or getting the set, make sure you select tools such as golf club, shoes and clothing based on your height, weight and comfort level.

Occasionally, you will be required to practice in a crowded golf course. With many people around, you tend to get distracted and pressured easily from fulfilling your full potential.

So setting tangible goals from time to time is very important.

Being Fully Focused On The Game

Distractions are not always unavoidable. Especially in tournaments when everyone be it audience or media are watching you. They will give comments based on your past performances whether good or not or your personality if you are new.

The only person you should listen to under such circumstances is your instructor and no one else. Because only your instructor knows you best and how to bring the best out of you. So listen to him or her without letting anyone or anything else to cloud your mind.

Best of all, know what you are in the game to win so do what is required to enable to you to win.

Luxury yacht charter services Thailand

If you are looking for a new holiday experience then it is time to seriously consider a vacation in Thailand. Thailand vacations guarantee a completely different cultural experience. However, one of the biggest attractions of Thailand is its beaches and waterborne activities. One of the most amazing water related experiences is to take a yacht charter for a cruise. Yacht charter Thailand is the best way to get a good look at the amazingly beautiful coast line and islands. Yacht charter companies offer luxury yachts for rent. So what exactly is the advantage of choosing yachts charters? There are several reasons for it.

For one, you have complete control over the schedule and what you want to see. There will be no strict itinerary to follow when you go for a cruise on luxury yachts. When you take a yacht charter, you will also be able to entertain your friends with a party on board. It is an ideal way to mix sun with fun. What many people don’t realize is that Thailand boasts of nearly 3000 KM of coast line! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the amazing potential for yachts charters. Not only that, the coastline is dotted with many amazing islands such as Phuket islands, Similan Islands Koh Samui and Koh Chang, surrounded by turquoise blue waters! If you are into some deep sea cruising then the yacht can take you to the unique Andaman Islands, roughly 200 miles from the coast.

Once you reach these amazing destinations on a luxury yachts, there will be plenty of amazing water activities such as scuba diving, jet skiing, sail surfing, or just relaxing on the beach. Part of the reason why they are called luxury yachts is because they come with their own accessories such as speed boats, jet skis and scuba diving equipment. Yacht charter Thailand will come with a full complement of crew to make your stay as comfortable as possible while you are on board.

Talking about life on board a yacht charter Thailand, you can expect to find all the luxury and decadence that comes with this sort of experience. World class chefs on board will be serving you mouth watering dishes until you feel like exploding. The interiors of these luxury yachts are exactly that, luxurious. The designs would make even a five star hotel feel proud. And as the day comes to a close, and the sun starts setting it will be time to enjoy the onboard bars.

One of the biggest misconceptions that come with yachts charters is that it is only available for the rich and famous. This is simply not true. This may be true if you are thinking about hiring a mega yacht for a cruise. However, yachts come in different sizes and specifications. Smaller sized yachts, such as 20 to 30 meter category are actually quite affordable, especially if you book one as a group. Another factor which influences the price is the time spent on the yacht. Overnight yacht trips tend to be the most expensive proposition. Therefore, if you would like to hire a yacht, do it for just one day, from sun rise to sunset. For example, if you were to go for a cruise around the Similan Islands, you could still enjoy these beautiful, uninhabited islands for the day.

Caribbean Family Travel

One thing you can really say about the Caribbean is that it is a very popular destination for families. That’s because a Caribbean family travel usually means more fun and features in an all-inclusive resort. Family packages may typically offer the following:

• Beach and water sports
• Luxurious swimming pools and water slides
• Kid-friendly programs and family activities
• Meal-time convenience and drinks on tap
• Grown-up pampering like spas, dining, cocktail parties, etc.
• Baby-sitting and other services
• Great family rates

However, there are times when there’s just too many all-inclusive Caribbean family travel resorts out there that it’s difficult to choose just one. Given the dollar cost and emotional investment, the stakes are high. How do you know which one suits you and your family best?

All-Inclusive, All-Included

When you say all-inclusive, it’s natural to assume that the package includes everything. But remember that an all-inclusive Caribbean family travel includes almost but not quite everything. So you got all meals and snacks, drinks, kids’ programs, and certain water sports and other activities but not all of them.

Take note of the following:

• Non-motorized water sports are generally included, such as kayaks, wind surfing, aqua-trikes, etc. If you want the motorized ones, like jet skis and water skis, it may cost you.
• Gear for snorkeling is often free, but there may be a limit as to how long you can use them. And if you want to join a snorkeling boat trip on your Caribbean family travel, it may cost you extra.
• Scuba is generally extra.
• Spas are always extra, unless you got one of those special Caribbean family travel.
• Off-property outings are extra, though a shuttle bus to a nearby town may be free.
• Some non-all-inclusives offer plans that include meals and/or activities.

Kids’ Club

Every all-inclusive Caribbean family travel package offers this. Many are “friendly little clubs”, cute spots with one or two rooms with toys and TV and maybe video games for kids ages 4-12. A warm and friendly staff is always there to provide them with care.

But if you want your kids to enjoy the multi-program type, most all-inclusive resorts have this actually. Here, there are different places and programs for different ages. Some worthy names that offer this feature in their all-inclusive Caribbean family travel specials are Club Med in Punta Cana, Beaches resorts and Atlantis in the Bahamas.

Babies and Toddlers?

More and more Caribbean family travel resorts are now providing nurseries and infant care for guests traveling with their babies or toddlers. This is welcome break for you, moms, because even if you only leave your kid for a few hours in the nursery during nap time, that short amount of time can be invigorating and gives you a chance to enjoy your Caribbean family travel vacation yourself.

If you’re worried whether on-site doctors or nurses are available, try one of the bigger Caribbean family travel resorts. They’re your best bet. And lastly, as a miscellaneous tip, be sure to double check the site where you booked your Caribbean family travel to make sure that the baby-club will actually be up and running during your trip.
